Sara Ward
Sara Ward is a presenter, writer and author passionate about helping people discover where their food comes from, learn practical skills and live more sustainably. She is the author of Living the Good Life in the City and, following a long-standing column with Country Living Magazine, now contributes regularly to Gardeners’ World Magazine.
Based at her urban smallholding, Hen Corner in West London, and a nearby riverside allotment, Sara produces around £5,000 worth of food each year. She keeps three flocks of hens and ten hives of honeybees, and has won multiple awards for her honey, preserves and homemade bread.
Alongside continually expanding her hands-on skills, including developing a growing range of homemade cheeses, Sara shares her knowledge through a schools programme and a series of courses run throughout the year at Hen Corner, inspiring others to take practical steps towards sustainable living.
