Jo Checkley is editor-in-chief of Prima and is responsible for all the brand content including the magazine, online and social channels. Her favourite part of her job is getting to know the readers – receiving emails, letters and photos and meeting them at events. Jo started her career in newspapers and then moved to women’s magazines where she worked in features before becoming editor – a position she held for more than 15 years across three different weekly titles. In 2018, she joined Prima as executive editor becoming editor-in-chief in 2023. When she’s not busy at work, her favourite pastime is walking her dog, Scamper, and capturing moments of joy in the Sussex countryside near her home to share with Prima readers.
