Bertie’s Blocks began in 2020, when a lockdown hobby quickly developed into a passion for creating distinctive, handcrafted wall art. Drawing on 28 years of experience in the paint manufacturing industry and a lifelong eye for colour, founder Robert began experimenting with timber, form and colour combinations, eventually developing the unique cylindrical designs that have become a signature of Bertie’s Blocks. In 2023, Robert left his career to pursue the business full-time, and he is now joined by his wife, Sarah, who plays an integral role in the day-to-day running of the business. Every piece is handcrafted in their Suffolk workshop, with a strong emphasis on colour, craftsmanship and individuality. Alongside their established collections, Bertie’s Blocks specialises in bespoke artwork, working closely with customers to create unique colour combinations and designs tailored specifically to their homes and spaces.
