Charming Frenchman Daniel Galmiche has all the characteristics of a successful chef; intensity, passion and fiery ambition!

Currently head chef at 190 Queens Gate at The Gore Hotel in Kensington, Daniel draws upon his unique experience and passion to share his love of food and authentic French-Mediterranean cuisine with a British twist.

He is a regular guest chef on BBC 1’s Saturday Kitchen, and has written two cookbooks, Revolutionary French Cooking, published May 2014, and The French Brasserie Cookbook, re-published in 2015 and now selling in 11 countries and 5 languages.

Daniel’s career has taken him all over the world including the Sweden, Portugal, Singapore, and in London where he worked at Le Gavroche under the tutelage of Michel Roux.

He was awarded Master Chef of the Year, gaining a Michelin star at Scotland’s Knockinaam Lodge. Also achieving Michelin stars as chef at Harvey’s in Bristol, at L’Ortolan near Reading and again at the magnificent Cliveden House in Berkshire.

As head chef at 5 star Relais et Chateau The Vineyard Daniel was awarded the Relais et Chateau worldwide Rising Chef trophy 2011, Decanter Restaurant of the Year 2012/2013, and listed in the top 100 best UK restaurants 2015 by Restaurant magazine.

He is UK chairman of the judges for Chaine des Rotisseurs, and sustainability ambassador to The Clink Charity.
