Calling all budding gardeners...

...have you seen the entries for this year's Young Gardener Of The Year Competition sponsored by Britelite logo 150x50?

The Show Gardens are a hotbed of innovative and on-trend styles that will have your head swimming with new ideas. Designed by college students as part of the Ideal Young Gardeners Of The Year competition, these diverse gardens may feature a traditional or contemporary design, but they are always bursting with fresh concepts, clever planting arrangements, sustainable techniques and creative ways to maximise small urban spaces.

The Young Gardener Of The Year Awards is in association with TV Gardener David Domoney and the Prince’s Foundation for Building Community. The competition sees six of the UK’s leading horticultural colleges go head-to-head to create stunning sustainable urban show gardens - built in just one week.

This year the contestants are tasked with creating front gardens, including a front door and a path, designed to be focal points that will inspire homeowners and passers-by with just how much a front garden can brighten up a home and a neighbourhood. They will even have to find a creative and attractive way to incorporate a wheelie bin!
