You may recognise Ellie from her television appearances, as well as her popular craft demonstrations and workshops. Ellie’s work is creatively vibrant, yet effectively simple, often using silk and velvet produced at ‘Clovelly Silk’ ~ The family workshop, situated in the picturesque fishing village of Clovelly, which Ellie runs with her parents Ann Jarvis, former head of the design studio at Liberty of London Prints and her illustrator Dad, Bill Jarvis.

Ellie studied at Central St. Martins and during her time there, she developed a fascination for fabric manipulation and embellishment, which lead to her particular passion for using found and recycled materials. Ellie teaches a variety of creative courses as well as delivering talks and workshops as a visiting Lecturer, embracing experimentation with new techniques and revisiting tried and trusted approaches.

She is passionate about enabling people to be more creative and as a teacher, she inspires everyone to simply ‘have a go’. Ellie’s love of crafts and her innovative style inspires all ~ Her charming confidence and enthusiasm for design is positively infectious.
