We firmly believe that it’s never been more important to look at how we, as consumers, are living our lives and making better choices. That’s why, at this year’s show, we will be offering visitors eco-friendly project inspiration including sustainability talks and upcycling demonstrations, as well as, a day of events dedicated entirely to sustainability on Sunday 5th April.
Sustainability Sunday aims to be a day of education and inspiration and we are delighted that joining Lynne Lambourne of Warriors on Waste will be Jo Ruxton and Geoff Brighty of Plastic Oceans UK for an exciting panel talk, amongst other sustainability experts. Plastic Oceans UK have been experts on plastic pollution for a decade, starting with an award-winning documentary 'A Plastic Ocean' which has been named by David Attenborough as 'one of the most important films of our time'. Check out the documentary here.
Also, climate activist Venetia La Manna will be taking to the stage to discuss what she is doing in her mission to slow fast fashion and will be sharing her tips to lead a more sustainable way of living. Check out the full stage timetable here.
Alongside the stage talks, there will be demos on the Upcycling Stage and inspiration from the Good Life Garden and Future Living Home in partnership with The Campaign for a smarter Britain.
