After coming second in the BBC’s MasterChef in 2006, Dean left his job as a digger driver to pursue his love of cooking and food – inspired by his father, a skilled amateur cook. A stint at the Michelin-starred Midsummer House in Cambridge followed and Dean is now launching a dinner party catering business, back home in Bristol. Dean has appeared on UKTV’s Food Uncut and has filmed a pilot with Gary Rhodes which, it’s hoped, will be shown on BBC1 in early June.
