Dan was going to become a lawyer until he decided to pursue his real interest, food and drink. He worked in Germany and the USA before arriving in the UK in 1990. Here he taught himself baking and founded DeGustibus, his award winning bakery. He now owns three bakeries and cafes, has appeared on many TV and radio programmes and runs breadmaking courses at Raymond Blanc’s famous Manoir aux Quat’Saisons.
