The two pieces featured are from a collaboration between Stuart Melrose and Corian®. Corian® is a sensual and sleek material much loved by Stuart for its durability and tactile qualities. It was more for its solid clean aesthetic that it was picked this time though to be used in these highly graphic pieces. Mont Fort & Tortin are both based on ski runs in Verbier. When Stuart snowboarded them both they were covered in angular icy moguls and both pieces are abstracted from memories of looking back up at the carved runs.
