Ideal Home Show 1960
1960 marked the 150th anniversary of the invention of canned food, an invention by Englishman, Peter Durand. The Ideal Home Show marked this anniversary with a special stand displaying historic cans, included the oldest tin can in the world still containing roast veal that was part of Admiral Parry’s supplies on the 1823 expedition to discover the North West Passage.
